SMALL GROUPS

Small groups are a way for us to connect at a deeper level and get to know one another more while we learn about God's Word. Small groups are one of the places that we develop true community with each other. We meet for fellowship, care, prayer, accountability, sharing stories, and studying God's Word. Below is a list of our current small groups. Please feel free to join at anytime! We would love to have you! You can sign up at the Welcome Center or contact the leader of the group or just show up!

Rest for Your Soul - An online women's Facebook group study, starting June 5th
Jesus promised us rest for our souls in Him (Matthew 28:11). What is that rest, and how do we obtain it? This group will learn and discuss what Jesus meant by this, and look at the various places in the Bible that this kind of rest is mentioned. More importantly, we will learn HOW to rest our souls in Him. There will be hope, inspiration and encouragement in various forms as we practice resting our souls in Jesus together. The intention for this group is to be a place of rest, not work; so there will be very little homework, and there is no book to purchase. Instead, we hope that you will “show up” by commenting, questioning, encouraging each other and praying for each other as we move through the study. If you would like to join the women for this study, please get in touch with us on our New Song Alliance Facebook page
Girls with Swords - A women's book study, Sunday, June 11, July 9, and August 13th at 8:30am at Dottie's Cafe.
The women will be meeting casually once a month (only 3 times) this summer to discuss what we are learning during our reading of Lisa Bevere's "Girls with Swords". Lisa's book helps us discover that we have been entrusted with an invisible, invincible, and incorruptible weapon-the Bible! Move beyond only study and begin to wield the Word of God! If you are interested in joining us and need a book please let us know! Otherwise show up at Dottie's and join in the conversation!
Act Like Men: 40 Days to Biblical Manhood - A men's texting group, starting June 5th
The men will be reading through James MacDonald's "Act Like Men" book this summer. Discussion will be initiated by Josh Lewins and held over a group text. In this study, James MacDonald calls men to be watchful, firm in their faith, strong, and loving. This isn’t a call for bravado and bluster. It’s a call for men to mix tender and tough, to be humble, to follow Jesus. It is a call to be leaders, men of God, husbands who are present and caring and strong. It is straight talk—no posturing or posing or beating around the bush—inviting men to redemption and restoration in their manhood. If you are interested in joining the group, text Josh at 218.259.2506 or sign up at the connection center on Sunday!
